No worries. I remember when I first starting using Linux about 8 years 
ago that the learning curve was fairly steep for the first 6 months. 
However, if you ask the right questions in the right way, people will 
generally always be very helpful. And as soon as you get it, there is no 
looking back... :)

BTW congratulations on your GEOS 3.0.2 patch - that's a great effort for 
someone who is new to all of this.
