[postgis-users] POLYGON from LINESTRING

Is there a simple way to create a POLYGON from
a LINESTRING which tests positive to IsClosed()?

Same for MULTIPOLYGON from MULTILINESTRING?

I haven't found a obvious and simple method.
What am I missing?
