Dear List members,

i am writing due to a serious problem with shp2pgsql on my windows vista
os. if i convert shapefiles to sql i am able to view them normally in the
windows editor but not in crimson or other editors - there the geometry
field is somehow not visible. Only if i want to mark the empty space
(where normally the WKB should be) i am able to see the geometry....
mysterious? and also in the pgadmin i am not able to see the geometry
fields - so i can not put in data into the database...

i guess it must have something to do with the encoding of the shapefiles
or the basic encoding on the Vista....
